My goal is to become MCPD - Enterprise developer by year-end 2007.
The path to this certification is
1. 70-536 (prerequisite)
After the above exam you can take any of the following exams in any order

2. 70-528
3. 70-526
4. 70-529

The Final exam to MCPD Enterprise Developer is 70-549 - Designing and Developing Enterprise Applications by Using the Microsoft .NET Framework

Microsoft Press offers a book called MCTS Self-Paced Training Kit (Exam 70-536): Microsoft® .NET Framework 2.0—Application Development Foundation
Tony Northrup and Shawn Wildermuth, with Bill Ryan of GrandMasters

This is not a good book but is the best currently available for this relatively new certification.
The certificationn can be done in VB.NET or C#. I am proficient in C# but have chosen to do the certificate in vb.net.

Current status - I am on Chapter 3 – Regular Expressions. This is a huge chapter but is probably the simplest of them all.
